About Stone Church Arts

Aimed at sharing our beautiful historic church with the public, Stone Church Arts presents a variety of arts events throughout the year.

Immanuel Church was designed by Richard Upjohn who was also the architect of Trinity Church in New York City. The church sanctuary features a nine-foot Steinway concert grand piano, one of the few in northern New England, and provides an inspiring atmosphere for artists and listeners alike.

The Music Director of the series, Eugene Friesen, a cellist and composer living in Townshend, recorded a CD at Immanuel Church entitled In the Shade of Angels.

“The stone church has been lovingly maintained; the interior is absolutely stunning from the stained glass to the oak rafters; combined with the warm acoustics, this space is a treasure,” Friesen said.

An exciting component of Stone Church Arts is our shows on our local community radio and TV stations.

WOOL LP, 100.1 on the FM dial, here in Bellows Falls, includes "The Arts & Entertainment Section," a program of Stone Church Arts. Go to the web site (www.wool.fm), click on the Program Schedule and look for "The Arts & Entertainment Section." The show features music from Stone Church Arts concerts & musicians, interviews with musicians, artists and communtiy members who promote the arts, and a calendar of local arts events. Currently the show airs at 1:00 pm on Fridays.

Also, Falls Area Community Television (FACT TV), Chanel 8, hosts "Stone Church Arts Presents," video recordings of our concerts.

Tickets for most concerts are $15 and $10 (seniors and children under 12). Call 802-463-3100 for more information.
